Darfur Drawn

I don't know why those pictures struck me with such power, but like you said "It speaks for itself."

When I was in training and worked with kids, I really enjoyed using their drawings to help them identify their emotional issues and learn to put them into words. But the pictures from Darfur refugee kids are in an entirely different category. I think all you can do is try to be empathic with kids who've been through such trauma. I don't think we have invented a therapy that can deal with trauma like that.
